We Need

We need writers, journalists and bloggers who are interesting in fashion and real women.

If you fit in one of the above categories, here are some of the things we hope to be writing about if this magazine goes to print:

  • Fashion Bloggers – the guys and gals who inspired this – fashion inspired articles, everything that normal fashion bloggers chat about. If you would write it on your fashion blog, then it may be suitable. Speculations and debates are especially welcome!
  • Fashion Features – inspiration from the catwalks, fashion movements (i.e Gothica, Steampunk), fashion interviews. These need to focus on real women in the real world, and not just be yet more generic waffle
  • Fashion Advice/Suggestions – Fashion consultancy services, giving advice, making suggestions and generally encouraging people to embrace their own style.
  • Fashion design (i.e. making your own clothes) – the up-and-coming designers and interesting ideas that we just had to highlight, even if it is just because they are really odd! Also how-to guides and suggestions for interesting crafty fashion ideas.
  • Outfits – photographs and examples of what people wear, possibly using a similar idea to Wardrobe Remix to encourage submission.
  • Life features – interviews with normal everyday women about their views, politics, opinions and careers. These can be first personal or more formal.

If you want to contribute, then all you have to do is leave a comment below and we will email you! There is no payment, but authors will be fully credited and you might help to create a little piece of history!

  1. My site is still in alpha, beta soon. I’ve taught personal style lessons for years, and I have a lot to say about how real women can put together personal style that works for them.

  2. I thought I’d try my luck, even though you haven’t asked for any make-up or beauty writers. I’m an established make-up artist with experience in press. I do also have a make-up blog http://makeupbykaty.blogspot.com

Thanks and I look forward to reading!

  3. Hi, I’m a young journalist looking for a break and would love to work with you. I’m a total, self-confessed fashion victim, and love everything about shopping. I’m particularly good at finding a bargain and I’d happily write about the latest trends, do interviews, reviews etc.

  4. YOu mention the fashion design, I have studied design, mainly fashion, I like the idea of fashion DIY articles and would be happy to jump in there ❤

  5. Hello!

I would love to get involved in any way that I can. I am a writer, blogger and retired fashion model. I have experience in merchandise buying and design. Most importantly, I live and work in the real world and I love accessible fashion. Please let me know how/if I could be used for the magazine’s best advantage!

  6. Hi, I’m an image consultant, very good at giving advice on finding personal style, what suits each body etc. Looking forward to hearing from you.

  7. Would love to get involved with fashion and life features – have plenty of experience so drop me an email 🙂

  8. I would be very interested in getting involved – sounds like such a good project. I have lots of journalism experience and love being individual in my fashion.

  9. Hello! My business is Shopper Girl, and I sell makeup and skin care for 2 international companies: Avon and Forever Living. Avon doesn’t make anything you can ingest, Forever doesn’t sell anything you can wear. I also run shopping trips by coach, and go to vintage clothing fairs. I love funky fashion, looking good, accessories, and of course, shopping. I’m a great bargain hunter and have been published in Canada. Would love to get involved to raise my profile.

  10. I am starting an online store creating fashion for short ladies (5’4″ and under) because the high street does not cater for us and we’re sick of wearing clothes that are too big. I’ll be aiming at working ladies aged 30+ . I have a business background so I’m getting fashion designers to do their stuff for me. I’m calling it ShortCouture.
I’d be happy to contribute my story.
